Warning Signs

When Plano Homes Need Gutter Cleaning

Plano's oak trees drop a lot of leaves every fall, and our spring hailstorms pack debris into gutters fast. We've seen gutters in Old Town Plano packed with granules after a bad hail season in Collin County. When water spills over the edge instead of flowing to the downspout, that's your sign. Standing water near your foundation is a real risk here, especially with our expansive clay soil shifting under the slab. Waiting too long leads to fascia rot, soffit damage, and water finding its way into your attic. One tip from a solid overflow-prevention guide [1] is to check your gutters right after any big storm, not just once a year. We tell our Willow Bend and Deerfield customers the same thing. A quick cleaning now beats a repair bill later.

Common Issues

Overflowing Gutters

Water pouring over the sides means a clog somewhere in the run. We find it and clear it fast.

Post-Hail Debris

After a big hailstorm, shingle granules and broken branches fill gutters quickly. We clean this out before it hardens.

Fall Leaf Buildup

Plano's mature trees drop heavy loads in October and November. We schedule seasonal cleanings to stay ahead of it.

Clogged Downspouts

A blocked downspout backs up the whole system. We run water through each one to confirm it's flowing.

Pest Nesting

Standing debris attracts birds and insects looking for a home. We remove it before it becomes a bigger problem.

Pre-Storm Prep

Before spring storm season hits, a clean gutter system handles heavy rain much better. Texas storms can dump a lot of water fast, and clogged gutters can't keep up. Clearing them now means less stress once the rain starts rolling in.

Why Plano Homeowners Trust Our Gutter Cleaning Crew

Price depends on your home's size, gutter length, and how packed they are. A single-story home in Deerfield costs less than a two-story in Willow Bend with steep rooflines. We give you a free estimate before any work starts, so there are no surprises. Homes with recent hail damage sometimes need extra time to clear out granules and debris.

Mighty fine work! It was still raining when the technician showed up. I tried to talk him out of starting the work. He did not listen to me.
The work was great!
I met the owner who pointed out some repair that he would fix for a price OR I could agree to a yearly reoccurring visit. I was already thinking I needed that yearly visit so it was a win-win.
Me and my 11 oak trees highly recommended this company!

I am going to save you time and money by telling you that prior to hiring GSOT, I had extensively researched and spoken with MULTIPLE companies to fix my chimney facades in my 5-bedroom home. The worst one was Philips Home Improvement (I've reviewed them on Google, Yelp, and also reported them to the Better Business Bureau).
On the contrary, I am so impressed with GSOT. Their prices were very reasonable. My chimney facades look top-notch and are guaranteed to last as long as the house. Their employees took the time to do an exceptional quality job, and most importantly, do it the right way! Their workers are amazing employees! They are very skilled, qualified, insured, and legally able to work. As a legal immigrant, this was very important to me. I would give them 6 stars if I could. I sincerely highly recommend them. If you want the job done right without shortcuts, at a good price, don't waste more time and go with GSOT!
Sincerely,
- a very satisfied customer

There are a host of gutter companies in Dallas, many with outstanding reviews. Gutter Solutions of Texas is one of them, It’s the one I chose to use to install new gutters replacing old ones with problems. Zach came by to evaluate. I thought I knew where all the issues were, but he spotted several I hadn’t noticed. And he made some creative suggestions for redo I hadn’t thought of. Their work was as timely and excellent as his planning. They are a first class outfit if that’s what you’re looking for! Loved their work.

Common Questions

Gutter Cleaning Questions We Hear Often

Here are answers to what Plano homeowners ask us most. These are the same questions we hear on porches and phone calls every week. We put the most common ones in one place to save you time.

  • How much does gutter cleaning cost in Plano?

Most jobs run between $125 and $350 depending on home size and debris level. Two-story homes with long gutter runs cost more. We always give a free estimate first so you know the price upfront.

  • How long does a gutter cleaning take?

Most homes take about 45 minutes to an hour. Larger homes or ones with heavy storm debris can take longer. We don't rush the job just to finish fast.

  • Should I clean my own gutters or hire a pro?

DIY cleaning works for small jobs, but ladders and two-story homes get risky fast. We've seen homeowners get hurt trying to reach steep sections. A pro also knows what damage to look for while cleaning.

  • How often should gutters be cleaned in Plano?

We recommend twice a year, once in spring and once in fall. Homes near heavy tree cover may need a third cleaning after fall leaf drop. After any major hailstorm, it's worth a check too.

  • How urgent is a clogged gutter?

More urgent than most people think. Overflow can damage fascia, soffits, and even your foundation over time. If water spills over during rain, call us soon.

  • What are signs my gutters need cleaning?

Watch for water spilling over the edge or sagging gutter sections. Plants growing out of the gutter is another clear sign. Stains on your siding below the gutter line also point to overflow.

  • Do you clean gutters after a hailstorm?

Yes, we handle post-storm cleanings regularly in Collin County. Hail knocks granules and debris into gutters fast. We'll also flag any hail damage we spot during the cleaning.
